Travel
Travel is great - it broadens the mind! It's amazing how differently people do things around the world - food, drink, traditions, buildings, language, worship, the list is endless!
You can travel to Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland without a passport, but if you want to go anywhere else in the world, you'll have to apply for a passport (if you are 16 or 17 the rules for passports have just changed).
There are various ways in which you can get around. Inter Railing in one of the cheapest ways of getting around Europe, and you can travel by train in many other countries as well. There are also lots of cheap flights these days, but beware of hidden charges (and give a thought for the environment too!)
When you return to the UK from abroad you can buy duty free goods, such as perfume or alcohol (if you are over 18), at reduced prices.
Your local travel agent will be able to help you plan your holiday or trip. Use the Yellow Pages if you don't know where to find them.
Some of you will be thinking about travelling as part of your gap year; it's a great way of getting experience!
