Youth Board Associate Members
This is an option where there are existing groups of Young People, for example a youth club, a school council (or a school year group etc!) or a uniformed group. The group agree to be informed of Connexions involvement opportunities; when they take on a piece of work, their views are fed back to the Youth Board. A young person from an existing group may ask for membership of the Connexions Youth Board at any time if they wish.
These are some of the benefits and requirements of becoming a Youth Board Associate:
-
Willing to give opinions and be consulted over choices – your opinions count
-
Commitment to be involved in one piece of work each year
-
Volunteering hours can contribute to a Volunteer Award
-
Skills learnt may be evidenced and contribute to a Youth Award
