Chinese New Year 2008: The Year of the Rat

From Thursday 7th February 2008, it is the Chinese Year of the Rat. The Chinese New Year festival is based on the Chinese lunar calendar. It is also know as the Spring Festival. Traditionally, the festival is seen as a day for seeing your family and people come together for large meals to celebrate the day.
