education is an alternative to school. If your parents or carers
decide that you would be more suited to home education then legally
you can. Under UK law it is education that is compulsory, not
schooling.
You can
still access the Connexions service and get in touch with a
Connexions Personal Adviser.
If you want help
with planning your progression route into work, work-based
learning or further or higher education, you can drop into
your
local Connexions
centre and get some
advice and support. You can also call to arrange an
appointment with a PA.
Connexions Personal
Advisers can offer
support with any problems or issues you need help with. They
can give advice on careers and education as well as problems such
as drugs, housing, money and health.
Passportfolio
is a website
that can help you keep a record of everything you have achieved
and support you with planning and preparing for your next steps.
You can upload photos and videos of anything you are proud of or
have taken part in as well as build your CV and write an action
plan.
