None of
us like the thought of having to revise for exams. But a
little planning can make things go a lot
smoother!
>> Plan
your revision to suit you – some people work best when it’s quiet,
others prefer background music. Work little and often taking
regular breaks and leave time for sleep and relaxing.
>> Take the
stress out of revision by starting early and making a revision
timetable. Make sure all your coursework is finished in good time
or you could lose marks.
>> Talk to
your parents or carers, friends and teachers if you need help and
support at any time.

Stressbusters
You can relax by
…
- listening to music
- shopping
- playing football or another
sport
- watching TV
- having a bath
- going
dancing
- using lavender essential oil
- doing yoga or meditation
But don’t forget to do some
work!
Believe it or not
- alcohol, drugs and cigarettes won’t help! Eating healthy
food and exercising will (honestly!).
Top tips
for exams:
-
Have a calendar
with all your exams written in - and look at
it!!
-
Think ahead - if
you think you might get stuck in traffic then leave
the house earlier.
-
Do you know what
room your exam is in?
-
Have a checklist
for things like pens, rulers and calculators - then you won't be
having to think about it just before you go in.
