The health and social care sector is one of the largest employment sectors in Nottinghamshire and is expected to provide 3,300 additional jobs by 2014 - 1,950 of which will be in the health sector (1). As well as new jobs, Nottinghamshire is expected to need around 16,000 workers to replace those who leave. 
 
The majority of new jobs will be for roles needing higher skills such as auxiliary and assistant nurses and carers.
