Right to Time off for study

If you’re 16 or 17 and working, you still have the right to paid time off for study or training.

You’re eligible if:

• You leave school with qualifications below the level of NVQ2 (equivalent to five GCSEs at grade C or above);and

• You want to study for a qualification at NVQ level 2 or equivalent.

You could study or train:

• at work

• on the job

• at college

• with a recognised training provider

• through open or distance learning
