Training and apprenticeships

If you want to go straight into work, it's best to try and get a job with training.  This will give you extra skills and more opportunities in the future.  You'll be paid while you're doing job related studies.

If you're ready to leave school and maybe do something a bit more practical but don't want to go straight into work, an Apprenticeship might be the right thing for you. There are over 190 different work areas to choose from!

You could study for a work-based qualification, like an NVQ, which is assessed by carrying out tasks in a work environment.

For more information on Apprenticeship opportunities check out the National Apprenticeship Service.

MyChoiceNotts has details of local training providers who can help you find an apprenticeship.
