e2e (Entry to Employment)
Do you feel that you’re not ready to go straight to college, training or into a job? Well Entry to Employment (e2e) might be right up your street! It helps you take your next step, whether into work-based learning with an Apprenticeship or onto other learning.
e2e is for young people aged 16-18. It can give you the help and support to move towards your personal goals, and beyond…
You can do e2e if:
- you got few or no qualifications
- you missed time at school
- you’re not ready to carry on studying after school
- you want to go on to work or training but haven’t got the confidence
- you need to get more skills and experience before you decide what to do next
- you are between 16 and 18 years old
You could learn:
- reading and writing skills
- communication and team working skills
- how to plan your future career
- what it’s like in the world of work
- practical skills
- NVQ level 1
e2e gives you:
- confidence to do what you want to do
- new skills
- travel expenses
- a chance to go on to do an Apprenticeship
- an option to carry on learning
Advisers work out a programme especially for you which could include any of the following:
- Basic skills like reading and writing
- Key Skills like communication and team working
- Personal development such as social skills
- Citizenship knowledge and awareness
- Career management skills
- Work placements / tasters
- Practical and work-related skills
- NVQ Level 1
You may be able to get Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
